Adoption Assistance is a benefit that provides financial assistance for parents who choose to adopt, $5,000 per adopted child, which is intended to assist with such expenses as legal services, family studies, adoption related travel expenses, or cover other expenses incurred as a result of the adoption. This benefit is available to benefits eligible employees after 6 months of service.

An employee referring a person for a Designated Vacant Position will receive a bonus of $1,000 (subject to taxes) with $500 paid out the second pay period following a new hire’s start date and the remaining $500 paid after six months.

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Lurie Children’s. The recipients of the “Children’s Children” Scholarship Program are selected on the basis of academic performance, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of career and educational goals and aspirations, unusual personal or family circumstance and an online recommendation.
